Sit on your mat.
Bend your knees, and plant your feet on the floor.
Sit up tall and reach your arms forward in front of you.
Lean your torso back so that you can balance between your sitting bones and your tailbone.
Straighten your legs up to a 45-degree angle (figure 6.23).
Keep your legs together and slightly internally rotating.
Keep your shoulders down and your chest lifting.
Hold for 5 to 10 breaths for 2 to 5 rounds.
